Antelope horn dripping pills in the treatment of fever induced by interferon injection

Objective To study the therapeutic effects of antelope horn dripping pills in the treatment of fever caused by interferon injection for chronic hepatitis B virus infection. Methods Fifty-two adult patients with fever which caused by interferon α-2b injection were randomly divided into treatment group (27 cases) and control group(25 cases).Patients in the treatment group received antelope horn dripping pills and patients in the control group received paracetamol tablets. Results The total effective rates of treatment group and control group were 88.89% and 92.00%,respectiely.There was no significant difference of total effective rates between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusions Antelope horn dripping pill is effective for the treatment of fever which is caused by interferen injection,and is safer because there is no evident side effect combined with it,compared with paracetamol tablets.
