A study of weekly paclitaxel/cisplatin combined with 5-fluorouracil/Leucovorin(5-Fu/LV)as second-line chemotherapy for the patients with advanced gastric cancer(AGC)
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of weekly paclitaxel,cisplatin combined with continuous infusion 5-fluorouracil/Leucovorin as second-line chemotherapy in patients with AGC.Methods:A total of 36 patients were included in our study,treated with weekly paclitaxel,cisplatin combined with continuous infusion 5-fluorouracil/Leucovorin;Efficacy and toxicity were evaluated after 2~3 cycles.Results:Of 36 assessable casses,two received a complete remission,and 13 patients received partial remission,with a overall response rate of 41.6%.Main toxicities were marrow suppression and trichomadesis,most of the patients were in good tolerance.Conclusion:weekly paclitaxel,cisplatin combined with continuous infusion 5-fluorouracil/Leucovorin as second line chemotherapy was a considerable regimen in patients with AGC.
