NMR STUDIES OF THE SPIROBICYCLIC PHOSPHORANE

A spirobicyclic phosphorane has been synthesized and characterized by ~1H, ~(19)F, ~(13)O and ~(31)P NMR. variable temperature ~(19)F and ~1H NMR studies have revealed that the five-membered rings prefer to occupy apical-equatorial positions in trigonal bipyramidal spirobicyclic phosphorane.
