[Objective] The study aimed to discuss the optimal conditions for the descoloration and degradation of congo red dye by immobilized laccase.[Method] Congo red dye was decolorized and degraded by laccase immobilized by the carrier sodium alginate and cross-linking agent glutaraldehyde, and the influence of laccase dosage, concentration of congo red dye, reaction temperature and pH on its degradation rate was discussed in detail.[Result] When 40 mg/L congo red dye(pH=4.5) was decolorized and degraded by 1 g of immobilized laccase for 3 h at 65 ℃,the degradation rate of congo red dye was the highest, reaching 92.6%.The immobilized laccase could be repeatedly used to decolorize congo red dye,and the degradation rate was still about 50% after 5 times of use.[Conclusion] The research could provide scientific references for the effective treatment of dye wastewater.
