Study on Preparation of Alumina Aerogel

Alumina aerogel is a kind of novel material with low-density and nano-porous structure,which has many special physical and chemical properties and numerous potential applications.The supercritical drying and non-supercritical drying preparation methods and influence of preparation parameters(the ratio of aluminum alkoxide and water,the type of alkoxide,the type of solvent,temperature,the amount of ethanol,pH of the solution,aging time and the process of drying)on textural properties of alumina aerogel are reviewed in this paper,and the trend of alumina aerogel research is also discussed.
