摘要
The thermal radiation calculation models for LNG(liquefied natural gas) pool fires were discussed.The proper way for applying the models and the influencing factors on safety distance for fire thermal radiation were studied.The three commonly used LNG pool fire models,including Point Source Model,LNGFire3 and PoFMISE,were introduced and compared.It is found that the PoFMISE model,due to taking into consideration the incomplete combustion and the effect of the wind velocity on flame height,is suitable for the scenario that the wind velocity is greater than1.5 m/s and the fire diameter is bigger than 20 m.Lastly,the factors affecting the safety distance of LNG pool fires,such as pool-fire diameter,wind speed,and atmospheric temperature and humidity,were also evaluated,from which different requirements for the safety distance of LNG pool fires were obtained.
