Process for the Synthesis of Ionone

Ionone was synthesized from Litsea cubeba oil and lemen oil,and condition of condensation,cyclization and purification of product was studied.The transformation rate of citral was more than 99% and the yield was 95% in the reaction of citral with acetone.The transformation rate was more than 98% and the yield was 90% in the cyclization of pseudoionone,with 95% of total ketones,among which α-ionone accounts for 80%.
