Effects of Mechanical Subsoiling on Soil Physical and Chemical Properties and Growth Characteristics of Summer Corn

In order to improve the soil structure in Beijing farmland, enhance soil water storage capacity, improve agricultural productivity and increase crop yields are important. The long-term conservation tillage techniques have led to soil compaction,layer thicker and affecting crop production. The article took a single factor two levels of testing methods to research the effects of no-tillage and subsoiling on soil physical and chemieal properties and corn growth characteristics and yield. After the subsoiling the results showed that soil bulk density reduced 0.08-0.123g·cm-3in 0-30 cm soil depth, the corn yield reached7542kg·hm-2, yield 13.60%. Soil compaction could be eliminated by the subsoiling.
