Study on Application of the Modified CTAB Method in the Extraction of Genomic DNA From Walnut Leaves

The content of phenols,polysaccharides and proteins is abundant in walnut leaves.These substances affect it has effect on the extraction of genomic DNA.This paper modified the extraction method of genomic DNA based on CTAB method,and extracted the genomic DNA in walnut leaves.It turns out that the modified CTAB method,which is gotten by adding PVPP when grinding,is not only simple operation,economical and efficient,but also it can remove phenols,polysaccharides thoroughly and can apply to the research of walnut' gene cloning successfully.The method is worth to extend and use vigorously in the extraction of genomic DNA.
