Comparative Study on Sertraline (Made in China) and Zoloft in the Treatment of Depression

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety between Sertraline(made in China) and Zoloft in the treatment of depression.Methods 57 patients were randomly divided into sertraline(made in China)group(n= 29)and zoloft group(n =28)for 8 weeks.The clinical efficacies were assessed with the Hamilton depressive scale(HAMD)and adverse effects with the treatment emergant symptom scale(TESS)before treatment and at the ends of the 8th week treatment.Results There was no significant difference in the curative effect between two groups after 8-week(P0.05).Adverse effects of both groups were mild.Conclusion Sertraline(made in China) has an equivalent efficacy to zoloft,but sertraline(made in China) has less prices and has good choose.
