Effect of Capparis Extract on Normal Dermal Fibroblast in Vitro

Objective To study the effect of capparis spinosa extract on human normal dermal fibroblast in vitro. Methods MTT colorimetric assays and cell growth curve were used to compare the effects of extracts from capparis spinosa on the fibroblast growth activity and growth cycle. Results Compared with that of the control group, cells growth rate of fibroblast in vitro were reduced obviously, and capparis spinosa extracts was at the concentration of 40ug/ml, it inhibited the proliferation of fibroblast, and showed a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion Chinese capparis spinosa can inhibit the proliferation of human fibroblasts derived from normal human skin.
