Objective To approach the relationship between operation opportunity and curative effect on minimally invasive treatment of hallux valgus. Methods 200 cases (375 feet) of hallux valgus were treated. Measurements of hallux valgus angle(HVA) and intermetatarsal angle (IMA) were done before and at 8th week after the operation and compared between groups. Results With the age increasing, hallux valgus became serious and the curative effects were various in different degrees of hallux valgus. Conclusions Instead of the age over 40, the serious degree of hallux valgus has a great influence on the curative effect. Moderate or severe hallux valgus with 50~60 years old is the optimal operation opportunity.
