OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of the standardized management of diabetic patients in the community.METHOD The patients with diabetes in two communities were chosen to divide into the management group and the control group.Diabetes management group received the standardized management and intervention.The control group was just given routine treatment.The following-up was for 10 months.RESULTS After the standardized management the three indicators of the participants of initiative sports,regular blood sugar monitoring and medicine optimal significantly increased compared with those in the control group(P0.05 or 0.01 respectively).The nonfasting blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin level were significantly lower than those in the control(P0.05 or 0.01 respectively).CONCLUSION When the standardized diabetes management was implemented in the community,and the health lifestyle behaviors was accepted by the patients,the blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin levels can be reduced.
