Tercopolymer macromolecular modifier, methacrylic acid-butyl acrylate-glycidyl Methacrylate(MAA-BA-GMA),was synthesized by radical polymerization from methacrylic acid(MAA)/butyl acrylat(BA)/glycidyl methacrylate(GMA) using azobisisobutyronitrile(AIBN) as the initiator,1-dodecanethiol(DT) as the chain transfer agent. The structure and the properties of MAA-BA-GMA were characterized by 1H NMR,13C NMR,IR,GPC,DSC and TGA.The molecular weight of MAA-BA-GMA was controlled at the range of 7 900~23 700 by adjusting amount of AIBN and DT.The results of DSC and TGA showed that MAA-BA-GMA exhibited well plasticity and the descomposition temperatures were 429 ℃~440 ℃.
