wo materials (a recessive GMS line 1757A as maternal and a conventional double low species 601 as paternal) was crossed, and its filial generation was progated in Summer at Weining. Six sterile lines, three fertile lines and three semisterile lines were discovered among its selfpollinated progeny of F3. After selection for 8 generations in 4 years, the material with 75% of sterility was obtained, which could keep stable and thorough sterility of recessive GMS from its parents and has wide restoring lines. Fertile plants of the material can keep 75% sterility to others 1∶1 material with recessive genic male sterility. In addition, the material is double low type and offers a new sterility source for quality breeding. The material has increased gene pools for genic male sterility.
