General characteristics of a selective catalytic reduction of NOx with hydrocarbons (HC-SCR) were investigated using 2wt% Ag/Al₂O₃ in a diesel engine. In the presence of Hz the performance of NOx reduction was better than without H₂ at the temperature of 300℃. To produce H₂ from diesel exhaust gas and diesel fuel, CPOx reaction was derived using Rh/Al₂O₃. The amount of fuel Injection was variable condition to get the maximum yield of hydrogen. The maximum concentration of H₂ was 10.5% and reforming temperature was 700℃ when the engine condition was 2500rpm and 4bar.
