摘要
A new generation of adsorbents is designed by grafting smart molecular gates onto the orifices of mesopores. The molecular gates are reversibly closed/opened according to the adsorption/desorption conditions. The adsorbents can thus realize both selective adsorption and efficient desorption, which are extremely desirable for adsorptive separation but unlikely for conventional adsorbents with fixed pore openings.
