Counting what counts: Registry completeness and the epidemiology of nonmalignant meningioma

Comprehensive and standardized registry capture of nonmalignant meningioma diagnoses is essential for valid surveillance and reliable epidemiologic research. Efforts to integrate radiographic diagnoses and richer tumor‐level detail will help discriminate risk factors from case ascertainment biases, which would strengthen both surveillance and etiologic inference.
