摘要
This purpose aimed to investigate the effect of skill-streaming-based teaching using video modeling on the social skills typically developing children and the social interactions of children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). Participants included two classes of 5-year-olds: 44 typically developing children and four children with ASD in the experimental group, and four children with ASD in the control group. The intervention spanned 14 sessions over 14 weeks. The study employed a pre-post control group design to assess changes in the social skills of typically developing children, while case studies were used to examine changes in social interactions among children with ASD. Results revealed a statistically significant improvement in the social skills of typically developing children and an increasing trend in social interactions among two children with ASD in the experimental group. This study is notable for integrating two evidence-based practices into the natural routine of the entire class.
