Calibration of Temperature Indicators

The paper refers to the evaluation of the uncertainty of measurement for the calibration of temperature indicators. The temperature gauge is a measuring instrument with analog or digital display used in conjunction with a temperature transducer to measure temperature. The device indicates the value of the temperature (in temperature units) derived from the measurement of an electrical quantity supplied by the transducer (electrical resistance or thermoelectric voltage). There is a particular reason for the evaluation of measurement uncertainty, as part of calibration, where the uncertainty of the measurement must be reported on the certificate. The calibration provides a relationship between the input and output signal of a measuring instrument. For the uncertainty of measurement evaluation, we must identify the sources of uncertainty in the measurement, estimate the contribution of the uncertainty from each source and finally to combine the individual uncertainties.
