摘要
Wearable devices have attracted significant interest from consumers and researchers due to their ability to cost-effectively estimate sleep patterns in everyday living conditions. Smart rings have gained significant attention among these devices for their portability and comfortable wearing experience. The RingConn Smart Ring, launched by Shenzhen Ninenovo Technology Limited, has attracted many users with its unique design and user experience. However, the efficacy of sleep data assessment by RingConn has not been directly compared to the gold standard polysomnography (PSG). In this study, the accuracy of the RingConn was evaluated in comparison to the PSG. A dataset jointly collected by RingConn LLC and Shanghai Ruijin Hospital was used. Subjects wore both PSG and RingConn, and the results were compared to assess the accuracy of RingConn in monitoring the user’s sleep. The results show that RingConn demonstrated good performance with comparable accuracy in sleep assessment. The MAE of sleep Heart Rate is 2.27 BPM, the MAE of Blood Oxygen Saturation is $\mathbf{0. 3 8 \%}$, and the MAE of Total Sleep Time is $\mathbf{1 2. 2 5} \mathbf{~ m i n}$. This suggests that RingConn has the potential to be widely used in home sleep monitoring.
