Pars Plaea Vitrectomy

Summary The results obtained in 23 successive pars plana vitrectomies are discussed. The surgical techniques and instruments used in pars plana vitrectomy are described. Brief comment is made on the indications and complications of this procedure. It is stressed that pars plana vitrectomy is a difficult procedure and not without complications. Practice animal surgery is recommended.
