Development of High Temperature, High Pressure Corrosion Inhibitor

Abstract As the depth of wells increase, their temperatures and pressures increase. At higher temperatures there is a limited set of corrosion inhibitors that remain stable and are capable of being injected through capillary tubing. This paper describes laboratory and field work on corrosion inhibitors that are heat stable and capable of preventing corrosion under conditions of high temperature and high partial pressures of carbon dioxide.
