The Au nanoparticle-induced localized surface plasmon resonance effect and synergistic catalytic sites in Au/Co3O4/Si pyramid arrays for photoelectrochemical hydrogen evolution

A Si/Co 3 O 4 /Au photocathode was obtained on pyramidal Si, which exhibited high and stable photoelectrocatalytic performance for hydrogen production. This work presents a promising approach for the rational design of effective Si-based photocathodes.
