Objective To investigate cause and prevention of vitreous rebleeding after vitrectomy for proliferative diabetic retinopathy.Methods 98 patients(116 eyes)with proliferative diabetic retinopathy were operated as vitrectomy,the incidence of postoperative vitreous hemorrhage and causes were analyzed retrospectively.Results Within the complications of vitrectomy for PDR in the 98 patients(128 eyes),there were 46 eyes(36.0%)occurred vitreous hemorrhage.Conclusion Vitreous hemorrhage after vitrectomy for proliferative diabetic retinopathy mainly related to the severity of lesion,time of surgery and the filling material of vitreous cavity.Attention should be paid on postoperative vitreous hemorrhage,with active prevention and treatment for it.
