Effect of continuing care on quality of life of maintenance hemodialysis patients

Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing on the quality of life of maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods A total of 90 cases of maintenance hemodialysis patients who were treated in the hospital from June 2016 to June 2017 were selected as study objects.All the patients were divided into routine group and experimental group by digital table method, 45 cases of each group.The routine group of maintenance hemodialysis patients adopted general nursing intervention.On the basis of general nursing measures, the patients in the experimental group performed extended nursing. The psychological state(SAS and SDS)score of patients before and after nursing in the two groups, life quality(physical function, social function, pain status and psychological status), sleep quality after care(sleep quality, sleep duration, sleep duration, sleep medications, daytime dysfunction and sleep disorders), daily life ability and satisfaction score before and after nursing were observed and analyzed. Results The SAS and SDS scores of the experimental group were all lower than those of the routine group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The body function score, social function score, pain status score and psychological status score of the experimental group were all higher than those of the routine group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). There were significant differences in sleep quality between the two groups.The sleep quality score, fall asleep time score, sleep time score, sleep drug score, daytime dysfunction score and sleep disorder score of the experimental group were better than those of the conventional group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The daily life ability and satisfaction scores of the experimental group were better than those of the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions For maintenance hemodialysis patients, extended nursing can effectively improve their discomfort, alleviate their anxiety and depression, and improve their sleep quality and life quality, which is of high clinical value.
