摘要
Recalcitrant pollutants removal is one of the most severe environmental challenges that people face. Researchers have taken various methods to remove recalcitrant pollutants. Adsorption methods have suffered researcher’s vigorous pursuit because of their simple operation, high reaction efficiency, and considerable cost. The magnetic properties of magnetic biochar-based composite adsorbents show unique advantages, as they can be easily separated from treated water. There have been some researches on recalcitrant pollution and good results have been achieved. Understanding the removal mechanism will be helpful for further research, so this chapter will introduce the research status of recalcitrant pollutants and the basic knowledge of removal mechanism.
