Quantitative analysis of active constituents of Radix scutellariae of different sources

OBJECTIVE To investigate the differences of baicalin,baicalein and wogonin in Radix scutellariae of different sources.METHODS After preparing tested samples and control samples,baicalin,baicalein and wogonin in Radix scutellariae of different sources(Chengde Hebei,Wulanhaote Neimeng,Datong Shanxi,Changbaishan Jilin)were measured with HPLC.RESULTS The contents of baicalin in Chengde Hebei is highest than those in Wulanhaote Neimeng,Datong Shanxi,Changbaishan Jilin.The places which were arranged by the contents of baicalin from high to low were Datong Shanxi,Changbaishan Jilin,Wulanhaote Neimeng.The contents of baicalein and wogonin in Wulanhaote Neimeng is lowest than those in Wulanhaote Neimeng,Datong Shanxi,Changbaishan Jilin.The places which were arranged by the contents of baicalin from high to low were Chengde Hebei,Datong Shanxi,Changbaishan Jilin.CONCLUSIONS Baicalin,baicalein and wogonin in radix scutellariae of different sources are different.It is necessary to adjust the dose by different clinic disease.
