Studies on the Chemical Constituents of Ascidian Amaroucium sp.

Objective To study the chemical constituents of ascidian Amaroucium sp.Methods The n-BuOH-soluble fraction from EtOH extracts of the ascidian was partitioned and purified by means of several separation methods.Their structures were elucidated by physical and spectral data.Results Five compounds,uracil,thymine,uradine,2'-deoxyuracine and thymidine were isolated.Conclusion All compounds were obtained from this species for the first time.
