Objective To investigate the chemical constituents of Potentilla supina.Methods Silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography was applied for the constituents isolation and their structures were identified by means of spectroscopic and chemical data.Results Eleven compounds were isolated from petroleum ether and ethyl acetate fractions of the EtOH extract with reflux and maceration methods.Their structrures were identified as β-sitosterol(1),oleanic acid(2),euscaphic acid(3),ursolic acid(4) tormentic acid(5),2α,3α,19α,23-tetraydroxy-urs-12-en-28-oic acid(6),daucosterol(7),aesculetin(8),apigenin(9),rosamultin(10),and astragalin(11).Conclusion All the compounds are isolated from this plant for the first time.
