Development of the structural strength assessment system for warships based on patran command language

The structural strength assessment of warships is very important for the structural safety of warships.In order to improve the efficiency and systematization of the structural strength assessment,a structural strength assessment system for warships is developed based on the by using Patran command language of MSC.Patran.The structural strength assessment system for warships consists of the rules calculation and direct calculation.The rules calculation includes the check of longitudinal strength,local strength,ultimate strength,stability and fatigue strength.The direct calculation includes the yielding strength assessment,buckling strength assessment and the fatigue strength assessment based on spectral analysis.The example shows that the structural strength assessment of a warship can be well done by means of the system and the structural strength assessment system provides a powerful tool for the structural strength assessment of warships.
