A Study on Copolymerization of 1,3,5,-trioxane and 1,3-dioxepane

The cation open-ring copolymerization of 1, 3, 5-trioxane and 1, 3-dioxepane has been investigated.The mechanical,thermal and crystal properties of the polyoxymethylene synthesized are inspected. It is found that the polyoxymethylene (POM) from 1,3-dioxepane has better properties than POM from 1,3-dioxolane.
