Groundwater pollution evaluation with statistical software SPSS and pollution exponents

In order to evaluate the present groundwater pollution situation of Puyang city,one?variable frequency distribution analysis method is used in SPSS to get pollution original value and the synthesized pollution exponents are calculated.The paper divides the research area into slightly polluted area,moderately polluted area and seriously polluted area on the basis of the values and groundwater?forming situation.The estimating results are in accordance with the practical condition.It is proved to be feasible to evaluate groundwater pollution with statistical software SPSS and pollution exponent method.
