Bibliometric analysis of publications about Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemases( KPC)-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae

Objective To analyze the literature on carbapenemases- producing Klebsiella pneumoniae( KPC) in the world and to follow the research progress of KPC. Methods All publications about KPC- producing Klebsiella pneumoniae were searched on Pubmed,Embase and ISI database(1970-01-2013-08). The amount of literature,publication date,authors,languages,article types,epidemiology,molecular mechanisms of resistance and treatment were analyzed. Results A total of 257 papers were included,10 reviews,4 conference article,233 article. The first report was in 2001 and the amount of publications increased yearly. Conclusion KPC- producing Klebsiella pneumoniae was apparently wild spread in the world.Research of KPC- producing Klebsiella pneumoniae was studied deeply.
