Research of Rule Discovery Based on Granular Computing

This paper discussed the application of granular computing in rule discovery.There has already a lot of methods used in rule discovery in data mining,such as rough set theory.The granular computing has correlations with rough set theory,so there is a kind of valuable research of combining these two methodologies.In the paper,firstly the basic concepts and common characters are presented.Then it compares the granular computing with the rough sets theory.Finally,there is an example of decision table for the application of granular computing in rule discovery.
