Objective To analyze the reason of infection in burn patients with central venous catheter and explore effective preventive measures.Methods Monitoring 158 burn ward patients with central venous catheter from Jun.2004~Dec.2007,including retention time,location,puncture skin,circumstance and etiological results of central venous catheter.Results Fungi and Staphylococcus epidermidis caused infection in burn patients with central venous catheter.Burn patients' infection with central venous catheter was related to retention time and puncture location.ConclusionEffective methods of preventing infection include strict aseptic operation,enhancing operating skills of puncture operator,shortening retention time and keeping catheterization surroundings clean.
