A case of extrafacial rosacea responding to topical metronidazole

Only a few cases of extrafacial rosacea have been documented although facial rosacea is a common dermatosis. We report a case of rosacea occurring on the upper arm of a patient with established facial rosacea, responding very well to treatment with topical metronidazole. To our knowledge this is the first report of the successful use of topical metronidazole in treating extrafacial rosacea.
