Immunization to experimental arthritis in rats

Abstract Protection against experimental arthritis followed various pretreatments that appeared to elicit production of antibodies to the arthritogenic agent. Passive immunity to arthritis was produced by injecting serum from rats or rabbits immunized against exudate containing the arthritogenic factor. The nature of the arthritogenic agent is discussed.
