The synthesis of biologically important glycoconjugates through biosynthesis pathway engineering is more intensively investigated in the past few years. Many stretagies have been demonstrated suitable for large scale synthesis of oligosaccharides using either glycosyltransferases isolated from engineered bacteria or whole cells as enzyme source. These advances contribute a great in glycobiology science.
