Sembilang National Park (TNS) has high primary productivity because it is
dominated by mangrove ecosystems. The high primary productivity is indicated by
the high abundance of zooplankton as an indicator of waters. The abundance of
zooplankton can be determined by conventional methods using bongonet and
hydroacoustic methods. This study aims to estimate the abundance and analyze
the distribution of zooplankton, and to know the relations between the abundance
of zooplankton acoustically and the abundance of zooplankton used bongonet with
a simple linier regression. This study was conducted from October 24, 2020 to
October 29, 2020 around TNS waters. The results showed that the acoustic
density of zooplankton in the waters around the Sembilang National Park ranged
from 106 - 1911 Ind/m3
. While the abundance of zooplankton using bongonet
ranges from 70 – 346 Ind/m3
. Spatial distribution of zooplankton spreads from
breech estuary waters to Alagantang waters. The abundance of zooplankton using
bongonet has an effect of 63% on the abundance of zooplankton using acoustics
where the correlation coefficient value (R = 0.79) describes a positive and strong
relationship.
