IntroductionPolybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are organic chemicals that have been commonly applied as flame retardants in plastics, textiles, electronic castings, and items containing polyurethane foam that were produced as three major commercial formulations: penta-BDE, octa-BDE, and deca-BDE [1].Once used, PBDEs are released into natural aquatic systems via different routes and were found in both abiotic and biotic environmental samples over the last decade [2-5].Moreover, PBDEs as persistent organic pollutants are well known for their persistence, bioaccumulation, long-range transport potential, and toxicity [6][7].
