Infant care requires continuous monitoring to ensure safety, comfort, and hygiene, which is often challenging for working parents and healthcare staff.Conventional baby cradles lack automation and intelligent monitoring capabilities. This paper presents the design and implementation of an IoT-based Smart Baby Cradle System that integrates multiple sensors and an embedded controller to automatically monitor and respond to a baby's needs. The proposed system detects infant crying, bed-wetting conditions, and environmental parameters, and initiates appropriate actions such as gentle swinging, buzzer alerts, and mobile notifications. An Arduino-based embedded platform is used as the core controller, interfaced with sound, moisture (raindrop), temperature, and gas sensors along with a servo motor for cradle actuation. The system is designed to be low-cost, reliable, and user-friendly, making it suitable for both home and hospital environments.Experimental observations demonstrate that the proposed cradle improves infant comfort while significantly reducing manual effort by caregivers.
