Oxovanadium(V)‐Catalyzed Direct Amination of Allyl Alcohols

Abstract Direct amination of allyl alcohols is regarded as one of reliable methods to synthesize allyl amines in one step because water is only by‐product. Oxovanadium(V) compound with triphenyl siloxide ligands was demonstrated to serve as an efficient catalyst in the direct amination of allyl alcohols. The catalytic direct amination reaction could be performed with both aromatic and aliphatic amines. This catalytic system induced selective direct amination in the case of the unsymmetrically substituted allyl alcohols. Furthermore, gram‐scale direct amination reaction was successfully achieved.
