The role of pentraxine-3 and the new non-invasive methods in the diagnostics of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis

This review is devoted to the diagnosis of one of the most common pathologies of the modern world — non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The new non-invasive methods for the diagnosing of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis have been considered. The pathogenetic mechanisms of the influence of pentraxine-3 on the non-alcoholic steatohepatitis development of have been generalized. The data of experimental and clinical studies reporting about the role of pentraxine-3 in the non-invasive diagnostics of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis are presented.
