The impact of lead time on supply risk based on multi-agent simulation

Supply risk is one of the operation risks in the supply chain, Thomas Kull found that increasing inventory in a tiered supply chain can sometimes increase supply risk. Well how supply risk is affected by lead time in the presence of supply failure? By evaluating risk in a simulation environment based on multi-agent technology, exploratory findings suggest that increasing lead time in a multi-echelon supply chain can sometimes decrease supply risk of downstream and own but increase that of competitors.
