Novel Activity of SnO2 for Methanol Conversion: Formation of Methane, Carbon Dioxide, and Hydrogen

Abstract SnO2 catalyzed methanol conversion to form methane, carbon dioxide and hydrogen selectively. It was suggested that formaldehyde was an intermediate to give methyl formate that readily decomposed into methane and carbon dioxide.
