A Study of the Defoaming Properties of Dry Silicone Compositions

The defoaming ability of dry silicone compositions consisting of inorganic, organic, and organosilicon components was studied by different methods. The silicone composition was shown to be an efficient antifoamer and defoamer. The dry silicone composition can be used in the production of a washing powder for automatic machines at a concentration of 0.4–0.8 wt %. The flowabilities of the compositions immediately after preparation and after 1-year storage, as well as their resistance to a moist environment, were determined.
