Abstract C‐Glycosylation of the oxysubstituted benzene derivatives (II) with O‐α‐D‐glucopyranosyl trichloroacetimidate (Ia) in the presence of a Lewis acid gives the β‐D‐glucopyranosyl arenes (III) as the main products.
