Evaluation of recombinant human brain natfiuretic peptide combines with sodium nitroprusside on treatment acute heart failure

Objective:To observe the effect and safety of recombinant human brain natfiuretic peptide (rhBNP) combines with sodium nitroprusside on treatment acute heart failure. Methods: A total of 40 patients suffered from acute heart failure, heart function Ⅲ~IV degree, and total patients were divided into two groups at random. Test group (rhBNP + sodium nitroprusside) had 20 patients, while control group (only sodium nitroprusside) also had 20 patients. The level of respiratory rate, heart rate, contractive pressure, diastolic pressure were documented at 0,15,30 min and 1,4,8,12,24 h respectively. At same time, there were 10 patients in test group and control group were documented pulmonary capillary wedge pressure (PCWP) and pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP) respectively. Results: The difference of all targets between two groups had statistical significance.There was no symptomatic hypotension or other adverse events during drug infusion in both groups, symptomless hypotension was also similar between the two groups. Conclusion: There are better homodynamic effect and clinic effect on treatment of acute heart failure by rh-BNP combines with sodium nitroprusside.
