Application of Cuttings Measurement in Arid and Semi-Arid Desert Area

Arid and semi-arid desert area,as a special kind of geographical landscape,has the characteristics of large wind,sparse rainfall and sparse vegetation. Sonid Left Banner of Inner Mongolia region is a typical arid and semi arid desert area. By taking the1: 5 million debris measurement carried out in Sereguleng,Sonid Zuoqi area in 2003 for example,cuttings measurement were described in this paper for prospecting effect in the District,the successful experience and the existing problems were summed up,some references for the future in the arid and semiarid desert areas to guide prospecting were provided.
